As Texans across the state continue to deal with the damage from the mid-February winter storm, so does the political fallout in Austin.

Warmer temperatures over the weekend and continuing this week melted most of the snow from the state’s roadways and roofs.
Some say this has been like no other, but I beg to differ. I lived through the storms of 1983, not in Robertson County but Hays County. The hardest-hit night I spent in a barn, with a fallen cow, nursing it through the cold and the night as ice accumulated on everything around us.
