A democracy will grow tired of war quickly
I may set off a real argument with this column because frankly I see both sides, problem is, I too have grown tired of war.
On one thought, we should not be pulling out of the Middle East region. The people left behind on this situation will now be made to suffer even more in the wake of new threats as well as old struggling to gain land and power in the region.
On the second though, have we not done enough already. The cost of the war is insurmountable, not just in goods, services, materials and equipment, but the real cost of American lives.
I feel once again we are trapped into a long engagement that truly has nothing to do with America.
