It’s not about the weed

My phone has been lit up all week over this Waco Superintendent arrest in Robertson County. There is no way you have not heard the story, but in case you haven’t I will tell you.

Waco Independent School District Superintendent A. Marcus Nelson was arrested in Robertson County for driving in the passing lane on U.S. Highway 190, south of Hearne, about 55 miles southeast of Waco, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman said.

DPS Sgt. Jimmy Morgan said the trooper had stopped Nelson for driving in a passing lane when not passing and detected the smell of marijuana in the car, the AP reported. With that probable cause, the trooper searched the car and found marijuana, Morgan said. Nelson was arrested on a Class A Misdemeanor and booked into the Robertson County Jail.
