Transferable small town credentials

Then again, I could be wrong.

In the past two weeks I have heard the same thing from two different adversaries. “He ain’t from here, he is just some corporate guy that got sent to Robertson County.”

First and foremost both sources of that comment have axes to grind with the newspaper and myself personally so I will not waste your time with much more on them, but I did want to tell you the story of why I’m in Robertson County and more specifically at the Robertson County News and Franklin Advocate.

I arrived in Robertson County in June of 2012, about 6 years ago with my wife Teresa and my then one child that was still at home. Having just graduated the middle child in Clifton, Texas in May of 2012. It was one of the reasons we stayed in Clifton until June 2012, to see her through high school.
