City boosts street repair budget

Brandon Roark, Water & Sewer Superintendent for the City of Franklin, addressed a real concern at Monday’s meeting with the City Council, street repair and maintenance. Roark, who has photographed many problem areas around the city, presented his findings in hopes of increasing the annual budget to get more streets maintained and repaired in 2020-2021.

As many are aware, the Covid-19 virus has affected so many aspects of our lives. Both in ways, we can see and in ways, we don’t even think about. One thing most people (not directly involved in the Justice System) may not have thought about is how Covid-19 has affected the enforcement of laws in the State of Texas and in Robertson County.

Bermudez promoted to Lieutenant

Congratulations to the newest EMS Lieutenant Renda Jo Bermudez. Renda will be assigned to C shift and work alongside Captain Samuel Porter who pinned on Renda’s new Lt. bars.

Renda Jo Bermudez, an 18 year veteran of the Robertson County EMS has recently been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant by EMS Director Rene Ferrell, EMT-P.
