Masons of Franklin Cooking Brisket
The Masonic Lodge of Franklin has been busy cooking brisket, ribs and sausage for a fundraiser to help cover their general operating expenses.
The members did a presale of the items and cooked them on Wednesday and Thursday and have the items ready for pick-up on Thursday, August 31.
This fundraiser is to help cover some of their general operating needs during the year.
According to Lodge member Kenner Reinhardt this fundraiser is the smaller of two that they have. The money used from this fundraiser will go to help pay for utilities and any other general operating needs that may come up during the year.
They also have a similar fundraiser, only much bigger, in the spring that will fund the many scholarships that the organization gives out to graduating seniors.
All money they make in the spring will go to the Building Toward The Future scholarship fund. The Masonic Lodge has been known to issue from 14 to 15 thousand in scholarships to any graduating senior that furthers their education from college to a technical school.
