Franklin helps with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts

Citizens of Franklin came together to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The Pridgeon Center was the sight of people of Franklin coming together for a cause.

On Wednesday, August 30, you would think that there was a major event happening at the Pridgeon Center.

The people of Franklin really stepped up to help the people that were displaced to the evacuation center in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area.

There were boxes and boxes of items that were donated and the organizers still had a couple of days they were going to take donations.

Sabrina Langton and Brandi Eilers organizers of this drive said they called several organizations in the affected area and they indicated that the placement center in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area could use these supplies so they decided that this is where their supplies would go.

They will be loading and taking their supplies to the center on Friday and from the looks of the Pridgeon Center, they are going to need a really big truck. Way to go Franklin.
