New Law Enforcement Center breaks ground

After several years of discussion and as many years planning the New Robertson County Law Enforcement Center officially broke ground on June 20 with a ceremony on sight.

With roughly 100 people gathered to witness the ceremony the day’s activities began with a brief speech from Robertson County Judge, Charles Ellison who praised many in attendance for their efforts in making a much needed facility a reality for the citizens of Robertson County.

Those most excited to hear from was Robertson County Sheriff, Gerald Yezak, who from the beginning of the project took a hands on approach to insure the facility would need the future needs of the county. “The conditions of the current jail and office has deteriorated some much over the last few years, it was never meant to last as long as it has,” said Sheriff Yezak. Sheriff Yezak offered praise to the many that had work so diligently to bring the project to Robertson County.
