Georgia Mae Tuttle
Georgia Mae Tuttle was born on October 17, 1944 in Brady, Texas to Lester and Rosa Mae Akins. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the age of 72 years. She received her education at Franklin schools. She worked 37 years with the education system. She has been married to the love of her life, Arlie Tuttle for 36 years. They loved to travel and spend time with family. The love she had for quilting and sewing, she passed to her granddaughters, a skill they will treasure forever. She was a 47 years member of the Franklin Chapter #311 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Bluebonnet Quilt Guile. She has been a resident of the Franklin Community for 66 years and a member of the Franklin Worship Center for 20 years. Her greatest loves in life are her grandkids and great grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Rosa Akins and her 2 brothers, Freddie and Bill Akins. She is survived by Her husband, Arlie Tuttle; daughters, Regina Manthei and husband, Brad, Amy Gandy and husband, Billy Steve, and Mina Calhoun; sister, Loretta Smith of England, Arkansas; Brother, Ray Akins and wife, Virginia of New Baden; 8 Grandkids, Ashley Sustaita, Zachary Gandy, Anthony Paskey, Brandon Ferguson, Sami Smith, Matthew Calhoun, Jamie Calhoun, and Nathan Calhoun; 7 Great Grandkids, Ashton Ferguson, Izabel Sustaita, Gabriel Sustaita, Logan Fer guson, Lorelai Ferguson, Luke Ferguson, and Cruz Sustaita; 2 granddaughters-in-law , Lauren Calhoun and Kassi Ferguson; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Franklin Worship Center. Burial followed in the New Baden Cemetery.
