Soph sensation Datron Dixon (4) gets a shove to stay inbounds and out of the pile of would be tacklers by (66) Kolbe Sanders and (3) Casey Phillips to initiate a spectacular 35 yard effort down the Franklin sidelines for the “go ahead” score against McGregor.
Lions Roaring loud
The Franklin Lions are roaring loudly in district 10-3A this season and as a result they have taken control of one of the toughest districts in the State of Texas.
After coming away with a big win two weeks ago against the preseason district favorite, the Cameron Yoemen, the Lions dispatched of one of the two remaining unbeaten teams last week in the McGregor Bulldogs.
Now, that just leaves the Lions and Rockdale as the only unblemished teams in the district. This week the Lions get their bye week and with their 3-0 district record, they’ll sit back and watch everyone chase them. Both Mc-Gregor and Troy each have one loss and Cameron is trying to recover after an 0-2 start in district.
