Staying close

They know the task ahead, if you hope to stay in the race for a playoff spot you need to win games and especially those you play against the teams you are fighting for position with.

With that attitude the Lions went into Tuesday’s match with the Lexington Eagles with only one thing on their mind, come away with a win. They started quickly against the Eagles pulling out to a 17-9 advantage after the first quarter, as their shots fell and the defense stood strong. They would add to that lead by halftime as some timely defense and key baskets allowed them to outscore Lexington 18-14 and take a 35-23 lead.
