Franklin Track Club brings back the medals

The Franklin Track Club came back from The Games of Texas in McAllen with some heavy metal or should we say medals. The T.A.A.F. Summer Games of Texas are an Olympic styles festival promoting high level competition and sportsmanship from athletes aged six and up.

Athletes from all over Texas competed in seventeen various competitions. As many as ten thousand were expected to compete in the Track and Field games. Track and field being the largest group having around four thousand participants. Approximately twentythree kids from Franklin went to the games to participate in the Track and Field group.

Coach Wagner volunteers her time and knowledge to insuring that these kids are motivated to perform at the best of their ability. She also does the same with the parents and volunteers that helped make it possible for the group to go to McAllen.
