Lady Lions lead the pride at 3-0

Franklin Lady Lions (13-3) (3-0) vs. McGregor Bulldogs (2-11) (0-2) on Friday, January 10 at 5:30 p.m. in McGregor

Just as they did last season the Franklin Lady Lions have begun district play leading the pack. At 3-0 they are tied at the top with the Academy Lady Bumblebees but the two teams have yet to meet on the court.

The Lady Bees have district wins over Lexington 44-40, McGregor 40-34, and Troy. However, in non-district play, the Bees are just 2-7 so it is hard to judge their relative strength as a team.

The Lady Lions on the other hand have been consistent. When they are hot they blow you out and when cold they manage to score enough to obtain victory.

The Bees are an inside, half court team, and rely on their size inside to win games. Franklin is just the opposite of the Lady Bees. The Lions want an uptempo, fast paced game and rely on their three point shooters and pressure defense to win.
