Lions are keeping pace

The Franklin Lions had seemingly recovered from their tough week of two weeks ago when they picked up two consecutive losses and saw their district record dip to 3-2 on the season. They put together a modest 3 game winning streak that raised their record to 6-2 and were solidly holding onto 2nd place in this real tough district. The Lions trailed district-leading Jarrell by 2 games and would need some help to catch the Cougars. However, in order to have that opportunity they must first take care of their own business, which means they must keep winning. Coach Reed’s squad realizes that they cannot afford any slip-ups along the way if they hope to have a shot at the district championship.
