Persevering

It was another tough week for the Franklin Lady Lions as they dropped a pair of district games. Despite the results the young Lady Lions continue to play hard and improve their skill level.

This week they played two of the top programs in the district in the Rockdale Lady Tigers and the Rogers Lady Eagles. The Lady Lions dropped a three set match to Rogers on Tuesday by scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-10.

The experience of the Lady Eagles was just too much for the young Lady Lions. Coach Crabtree did receive some solid play from her young ladies in the defeat. Abigail Zeig had 17 digs, Tiana Wade had 13, and Abby Schlieker had 9. Schlieker had 15 assists in the match and Grace Callen had 5. Wade also had 3 aces and sister Ciara had 2 for the team. The Lady Lions also got solid play from Makenzie Tomascik, Larissa Mendoza, Karly Leamon, Holland Helton, and Macy Caldwell throughout the match. They were just never able to take advantage of their opportunities or to slow the Lady Eagles down.
