The Franklin Lions made their second state championship appearance in six years last Thursday in AT&T Stadium where they fell 35- 34 to the Canadian Wildcats in an instant classic.
The Lions led 34- 28 with 1:02 left in the game after Seth Spiller connected with Braden Smith on a 37-yard halfback pass.
But Canadian responded with a long touchdown pass of its own when Reagan Cochran got behind the Lion defense for a 52- yard touchdown pass from Josh Culwell.
