I’m sure it is evident that the Franklin Lions are not ready to begin basketball season. They still have football on their minds and thoughts of what could have been.
The Lions had been a team of resiliency all season long as they managed to survive one adversity after another in what should go down as a most memorable season for the team.
The Lions finished the 2017 season with a 11-2 record and the district 10-3A Championship. Not many remember that shortly after the season began, All State tackle/tight end Casey Phillips suffered a staph infection that cost him multiple games during the year.
